Zhenyang Hao

Education: Beijing International University, Department of Estonian Language and Literature 2020-2024. University of Tartu, MA in General Linguistics and Estonian Language since 2024.

Work experience: taught Chinese at Zao’an Jiaoyu Language School in 2023-2024.

Teacher about himself: My name is Zhenyang Hao. I was born and raised in China. I graduated from the Estonian Language Department of Beijing International Studies University in 2024. I am currently studying for a Master’s degree in General Linguistics and Estonian Language at the University of Tartu.

I decided to study Estonian because Estonian is a unique and beautiful language. I like reading Estonian poetry and other literatures.

I enjoy teaching my native language, Chinese. At Zao’an Jiaoyu Language School, my students were from many different countries. The students were very motivated and interested in Chinese, and their different cultural backgrounds made each lesson meaningful and enriching. This experience helped me to develop intercultural communication skills and teaching methods suitable for learners from different backgrounds.

In my free time I like to bake, play sports, read a book and study languages because it opens a new world to me.
